A Bridal Shoot at Prestonwood Country Club

I remember the first time I saw one of my images appear on paper under a magical layer on solution in a darkroom at Winthrop University.... I knew that moment was changing my life forever! At that time I had to wait hours, if not days, to be face to face with my vision. Now when I have the world at my fingertips in moments, I am still amazed at the feeling of excitement when my creation appears on the camera screen with in seconds....
Out of all of the jobs that cover the globe God made me a photographer! I have said many times that I could not image being anything else. I feel like it is more than a job...this is my calling! I have been called to be an image maker... The capture time for all time...to tell a story that others may have missed or a moment that will never happen again, and do it in a way that invokes emotion and depth.
I wanted that to be true of this Bridal Shoot at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC! I wanted grace, elegance, and emotion to be seen and felt by all.
It's all about that moment when she stops to thank God for the man waiting at the end of the isle for her, the moment when she stands alone until her dad takes her by the hand to walk her toward her future, or the moment when she feel more sexy in her wedding gown then she has ever felt in all of her life...
I have to give a special Thank You to a few very talented and wonderful companies...
The Bridal Gowns are from Traditions by Anna in Raleigh NC! They have been a dream to work with, and I could not have done this shoot without them!
Hair and Makeup are by Von Kekel Saoln and Spa! Thank you Jennifer Grimes for taking time out of your busy day to work with us!
And to the ladies of Prestonwood Country Club...Sondra Johnstone and Vickie Gregory, I am blessed and thankful that you have opened your doors to me! I adore the two of you, and I am grateful to have been able to have this shoot at Prestonwood!

Danielle & Kyle's Engagement at The Point Country Club

Danielle and Kyle met in college, and have been side by side ever since! When Danielle called to tell me that Kyle proposed to her on the beach by fireside... I was so happy for the two of them! What a sweet beginning!
I met Danielle when I began to work with The Atlantan Brides Magazine, which is a luxury high fashion bridal magazine in Atlanta. Danielle was my magazine representative, and we became friends quickly!
Danielle was the first person to fulfill one of my biggest dreams....getting published in a magazine! I remember the day I received a copy of The Atlantan Brides with one of my photographs in the "Hitched in Atlanta" section. One single image filled with possibility for me! I can honesty say that each time I see my work featured in magazines today that feeling is still the same thrill that I felt the very first time!

Danielle and Kyle wanted the shoot their Engagement Session at The Point Country Club in North Carolina, and I fell in love with the New England feel of the club. I was surrounded with charm and class from the moment I arrived. Here are a few images from their Engagement Session...

Kylie and Eric Tie the Knot

Wow...where do I begin? I have been blessed with the most amazing friends in my life! This journey begins a few years back when I moved to Georgia for photography school six years ago...

Eric happens to be one of the most talented vocalist I have EVER heard! He is the Worship and Arts  Pastor at The Torch Worship Center in Demorest, Ga, which is the church I have attended for the past six years! God has used this man to teach me how to worship beyond a song...how to worship from my heart! He has challenged me creatively, and blessed my life when he began to date Kylie!

Kylie is a Proverbs 31 woman if I have ever met one. She has lived a life of pure faith over the years, and I have grown to believe God for the thing unseen, on a new level, due to the example she has lived before me!

There are times when you live in a moment that you will hold close to your heart for the rest of your life, and the past 2.5 years will forever be one of those "moments" for me. Kylie and I lived together for six months until the house we were in sold, and then Holly came into our lives! Kylie, Holly, and I lived together is the cutest little three bedroom house, and I don't know how to explain it... We were all changed for the better during that time! A bond of friendship that is as close as sisters!  We matured in Christ in a powerful way! We saw each other through all of the questions of dating life as well...from "do you think he is ever going to call me again" to "I wish he would stop calling..."(this one was me, until my Prince Charming came along and swept me off of my feet)!  Holly was the "oh my goodness, girls, I have to tell you about what John did for me tonight", and we would gather on the kitchen counters, as if we were at a bond fire, to hear all about the sweetness that John brought in to her life! And then there was Kylie... We would talk all about what the day would be like when Eric proposed, and how beautiful she was going to be in her gown! We all waited on pens and needles for the day when she would come home with a ring on her finger!

Well, that day did come, and October 8, 2011 she became Mrs. Eric Freeman! I am so thankful that these two are in my life! Here is a sneek peek at their wedding day! I was a bridesmaid in their wedding, so the images that I have are not the full story! To check out their wonderful wedding pictures you should visit www.ahaynesphoto.com! Alex did an outstanding job!

Oh this is gonna be a good life...a good good life....
