Kari Jobe Live @ The Torch

Wow what a shoot! Kari Jobe and her band lead praise and worship at our church yesterday, so I set up a shoot with them while they were in town... We literally had 10 minutes to shoot during church! Kylie stood by with a timer set to 11:40, and as soon as it went off Kari and the guys raced back to the church to sing at alter call! What a rush, and very challenging to say the least! I am so thankful for the time that I had to spend with these wonderful people! It was breathtaking to stand in the house of God as they lead worship, because the presents of the Holy Spirit was so sweet! Here is what we got in those thrilling few minutes, as well as a few shots from the worship service!

Lydia & Kyle's Wedding

Lydia and I grew up going to the same church in my hometown, so I was excited to head home for her Christmas Wedding! I have to admit that this is one very lucky couple assuming that the saying to true..."If it rains on your wedding day then you will have good luck!" It was not only pouring rain on her wedding day (ALL DAY)...it rained during their Engagement Session, as well as Lydia's Bridal Session! We had quit a few laughs about Lydia's "luck"!
Lydia and Kyle truly are one of those lucky couples who have been together since high school! During their senior year they each wrote a letter to the other person, and then sealed the notes to open on their wedding day! It was such a magical moment for me to witness each of them open the note from the past followed by a note from the present. I can only imagine the journey that they have walked together from the beginning until now, and how much their love has grown! I am blessed to have been a part of this last year with them, and give them images to treasure for the rest of their lives. I pray that they will feel each moment and emotion of their day when they look at their wedding albums! Who knows...i wonder what the letter would say if they write a new note now during their first year of marriage only to open them on their 50th Anniversary....
